Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Ryder in Liverpool, NY. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
  • Conduct standard component inspections and repairs
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers
  • Identify root causes of failures and perform repairs as required
  • Replace defective components as instructed
  • Perform facility maintenance duties
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

  • Hourly pay: $25.00 per hour
  • Quarterly bonus: up to $500 every quarter
  • Sign-on bonus: $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
