About the Position:
The Fresh Market is currently seeking a Corporate Financial Analyst for our Store Support Center. This role will support financial forecasting and budgeting efforts, while also developing analyses to aid strategic decision-making throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a natural curiosity to generate actionable insights. This position reports to the Manager of Corporate FP&A and collaborates closely with various teams across the organization as a trusted business partner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for internal stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify key business drivers and trends, enhancing sales and profitability.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, providing insights on month-end actuals.
  • Foster cross-functional partnerships to gather relevant data for financial analysis, cost management, and ROI evaluations.
  • Effectively communicate financial insights across the organization.
  • Promote the implementation of financial planning best practices.
  • Develop financial projections and construct financial models.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • One to three years of relevant professional experience in finance.
  • Understanding of general accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative abilities with the capacity to distill large data sets into meaningful business insights.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity.
  • Aptitude for adapting to change and identifying process efficiencies.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
