About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at Transdev. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring that they are safe and efficient for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring that they are in good working condition and meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Manage a team of mechanics and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure that our vehicles are properly maintained and that downtime is minimized.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure that all necessary parts and materials are available when needed.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs, ensuring that they are within budget and that our operations are financially sustainable.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure that our employees and customers are safe and secure.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that our maintenance operations are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • ASE Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • CDL Class B (or higher) with passenger and airbrake endorsements preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • 5 years or more of progressively responsible experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty automotive and transit equipment, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Broad understanding of all mechanical systems related to heavy-duty transportation vehicles.
  • Familiarity with laws and regulations associated with the safe operation of maintenance facilities.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and other mechanical and/or electrical diagrams.
  • Ability to read and write routine reports, forms, and other documentation or correspondence.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to organize and perform work efficiently, strong attention to detail.
Working Conditions

The majority of work is accomplished indoors and well-ventilated facilities with telephone and computer. The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen. Must be able to bend, twist, and lift 50lbs.
