About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Vascular Access Nurse to join our team at UCHealth. As a key member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for assessing and identifying the appropriate vascular access for patients.

Job Summary

This role involves providing vascular access services to patients, including placing peripherally inserted central catheters, midlines, and ultrasound-guided IVs. You will work collaboratively with the patient care team to optimize patient care needs based on medications, access status, diagnosis, length of IV therapy, etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients for appropriate vascular access device(s)
  • Place peripherally inserted central catheters, midlines, and ultrasound-guided IVs
  • Troubleshoot complications with vascular access devices
  • Document vascular access information and actions in electronic health records
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 6 months of nursing experience
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
