Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at the University of Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiography and experience working with computed tomography equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine to complex CT procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.
  • Ensure proper safety standards are met and quality assurance checks are performed on equipment and procedure areas.
  • Operate required equipment necessary to produce scans using established guidelines and CT protocols.
  • Instruct students and residents and perform preceptor duties as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining supply inventory and participate in on-going service and process improvement efforts.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a JRC accredited program in Radiography required. Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Eligible for ARRT (CT) certification required.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) required.
Work Environment

This is an educational hospital based CT department where a wide variety of exams are regularly performed. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a fast-paced environment and able to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
