Housing Operations Overview

In this dynamic position, you will oversee various aspects of housing operations, including room assignments, billing, communications, and policy implementation. Your expertise will ensure that our students have access to safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living spaces that support their academic success and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the department liaison with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to retrieve relevant information on incoming students and manage housing updates on student portals.
  • Oversee the Room Selection Process, including creating timelines, weekly newsletters, and events management.
  • Coordinate compliance efforts with the Office of Institutional Equity and the Office of Student Disability Services to ensure inclusive and accessible housing options.
  • Manage student housing applications, contracts, and waitlists, ensuring timely communication with students and parents.
  • Assist in training On-Campus Living staff and campus partners on StarRez and provide coaching and mentoring as needed.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote student safety, satisfaction, and well-being.
  • Collaborate with Residential Life staff to coordinate room changes and assignments during the academic year.
  • Actively participate in Opening and Closing processes, ensuring smooth transitions for students and families.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Higher Education/College Student Personnel or a closely related field.
  • At least three years of experience in residence life/housing operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the ability to create inclusive environments for students from diverse backgrounds.

About the Job

This is a full-time, 12-month, live-off position serving in a secondary on-call duty rotation for on-campus incidents. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm, on the Homewood Campus.

Salary Range: $48,000 - $84,100 Annually ($60,000 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
