Middle Office Financial Analyst

We are seeking a qualified individual who meets the following criteria:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Energy, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Proficient in English.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Programming knowledge in VBA and Python is mandatory.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Must be adaptable, diplomatic, and a team player.
Key Responsibilities
As a Middle Office Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing Middle Office operations for designated Crude and Refined Products portfolios:
- Managing daily and monthly profit and loss reporting.
- Ensuring accuracy and reasonableness in daily trade entries and modifications, particularly those affecting price exposure.
- Monitoring and reporting daily pricing for physical purchase and sale activities, as well as physical and paper position and risk exposure against authorized limits.
- Analyzing, reconciling, and managing hedge instruments including NYMEX and ICE executions, clear swaps, OTC forwards, swaps, and options. Controlling authorized daily trading limits and preparing reports for approval by the Trading Desk Manager and Managing Director.
- Providing statistical analysis and trade insights to support Trading Desks and Management.
- Collaborating with Operations teams to ensure all risk and profit-related data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Reconciling monthly results.
- The position reports to the Middle Office Manager and functionally to the Head of Middle Office Crude & Products.
- Responsible for risk control and analysis for US trading and marketing operations.
- ATMI supports TotalEnergies' North American refining supply and production, as well as international trading and marketing with TOTSA and third parties in various products.
- ATMI activities encompass pipeline, vessels, storage, and paper executions.
- Coordination and interface among all relevant departments (Trading, Treasury, Credit, Trading Operations, Financial Control, Accounting, Shipping, Vetting, Demurrage).
- The role is consistently in demand throughout the year.
- To monitor and verify all daily physical and paper activities.
- To confirm all trading positions and risk exposure, ensuring compliance with authorized limits.
- To report accurate daily profit and loss results.
