Job Description:

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor relationships. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and leading the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Overseeing daily processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards in the accounts payable process.
  • Reviewing and approving vendor invoices and payment requests.
  • Managing vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining positive communication.
  • Performing month-end and year-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
  • Preparing and reconciling accounts payable reports for management.
  • Assisting with audits, ensuring accurate supporting documentation.
  • Monitoring cash flow and suggesting improvements to optimize payment schedules.
  • Developing and implementing process improvements to streamline the accounts payable process.
Qualifications and Skills:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and controls.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry (desired).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required).
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Salary and Benefits:
