Job Description:The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor relationships. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and leading the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Overseeing daily processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards in the accounts payable process.
- Reviewing and approving vendor invoices and payment requests.
- Managing vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining positive communication.
- Performing month-end and year-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
- Preparing and reconciling accounts payable reports for management.
- Assisting with audits, ensuring accurate supporting documentation.
- Monitoring cash flow and suggesting improvements to optimize payment schedules.
- Developing and implementing process improvements to streamline the accounts payable process.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and controls.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry (desired).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required).
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
