Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at ProCare Therapy. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement IEPs: Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, taking into account their unique needs and abilities.
  • Classroom Environment: Establish a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected, promoting a culture of empathy and understanding.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and parents to assess students' progress and make necessary adjustments to instructional strategies, ensuring effective communication and a unified approach.
  • Teaching Methods and Resources: Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, staying current on best practices in special education.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and track student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting to parents and administrators as required, ensuring accountability and transparency.
  • Professional Development: Stay current on best practices in special education and attend professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Certification/Licensure: Appropriate state certification or licensure for therapy in schools.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of various teaching strategies, assistive technologies, and accommodations, with experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
