POSITION SUMMARY

The Plant Mechanic/Welder is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and fabrication of plant and conveyor systems.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proficient in welding techniques
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs and maintain good health
  • Ability to perform tasks involving standing, bending, and climbing, requiring upper body and back strength

WORK LOCATION

Located in Dell Rapids, SD.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is mandatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Fabricate, repair, and modify both metallic and nonmetallic components.

2. Perform MIG and Arc welding.

3. Operate mechanical and electrical power tools.

4. Utilize maintenance tools and electrical equipment effectively.

5. Conduct maintenance on conveyor systems.

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position, with work scheduled Monday through Friday, and occasional Saturdays may be required.
