About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, critical team within Amazon's Global Capacity and Infrastructure Development organization. As a software engineer, you will play a key role in building tools that improve the velocity of network acquisition and deployment processes.

The team is responsible for connecting Amazon locations to each other and to the global Internet. With connections to thousands of locations across the world, our mission is to deliver high-performing Internet connectivity that sets the global standard for performance, availability, security, and cost.

You will work closely with creative and technical teams to design and build full-stack solutions, collaborating on problem-solving and thinking big to simplify challenges. Your ingenuity and motivation will be essential in achieving results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Design and build full-stack solutions using strong computer science fundamentals, including UX design, data structures, object-oriented design, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
  • Deliver novel customer experiences by developing scalable, complex solutions across distributed systems in an agile environment.
  • Collaborate with teams across Amazon to integrate and optimize existing ad products to take advantage of Amazon's scale and reach.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a developer with 3+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience. You should have a strong background in programming and excellent organizational and communication skills.

A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is required, and CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional) certification is also acceptable.

Your compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
