Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Emergency Department at Kaiser Permanente's Westside Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will use your clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment: Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.
  • Planning: Develop an individual nursing plan of care that is sensitive to the developmental needs of the patient. Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other hospital and clinic departments and community agencies.
  • Implementation: Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of the medical and/or surgical patient. Correctly carry out the physician's plan of care and accurately document in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Evaluation: Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patient response to treatment.

As a Clinical Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, directing, providing, and evaluating nursing care for patients. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare disciplines to ensure high-quality patient care.

Kaiser Permanente offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
