Ironworking Specialist

Cajun Industries is seeking an experienced Ironworking Specialist to join our team. This role involves erecting and connecting steel structures at various heights, requiring strong knowledge of rigging techniques and proper hand signals for crane operation.

This is a challenging position that demands physical stamina, including lifting up to 100 pounds, repetitive use of hands and arms, and ability to work in confined spaces. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, mathematical abilities, and decision-making capabilities to ensure safe and effective execution of tasks.

• Erect and connect steel structures at grade elevations
• Practice safe rigging techniques
• Use proper hand signals for crane operation
• Assist other craft workers as needed

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of experience in ironworking or a related field. A strong understanding of safety protocols, math calculations, and problem-solving skills are essential. Additionally, candidates must be able to push/pull, lift, or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with occasional heavier loads.

Estimated salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
