Machinist Technician

Johnson Service Group is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at our facility in Ladson, SC. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a Brown & Sharpe Grinder, with opportunities for training and professional growth.

• Set up machines, including tool changes, according to instructions and specifications.
• Select and secure tooling in the machine table or holding device.
• Calculate material removal from parts and set gauges to measure OD, ID, 3pt race, and offset.
• Adjust controls to regulate machines and follow plant safety regulations.
• Support departmental performance goals and learn to operate multiple machines.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to sign off paperwork and maintain job accuracy.
• Ability to work safely and wear PPE.
• Ability to perform inspections and take responsibility for quality work.
• Ability to determine whether machinery is working properly based on specifications.
