**Job Summary**

Big Y is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Portero/Custodio to join our team. As a Portero/Custodio, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and restocking shelves.
  • Operate equipment and machinery as needed, including cash registers and inventory management systems.
  • Process transactions, handle customer returns, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide a positive shopping experience.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
