CAD Technician - Engineering Support

Position Overview:
This role involves executing daily tasks under direct to moderate oversight. Responsibilities include utilizing computer-aided design tools to generate maps, diagrams, schematics, and other engineering-related illustrations. The position also encompasses essential administrative duties to effectively manage and document work activities in accordance with company standards, alongside undertaking additional design and engineering responsibilities as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive engineering drawings, maps, and sketches.
• Create and manage records for materials and equipment.
• Gather necessary information through verbal communication, sketches, annotated drawings, lists, field notes, vendor catalogs, and technical manuals.
• Conduct mathematical computations essential for task completion.
• Operate reproduction machinery, plotters, and other duplicating devices.
• Collaborate with various departments to address discrepancies and ensure safe and efficient work execution.
• Interpret vendor prints, shop drawings, and equipment operation manuals, integrating that information into the work process.
• Advocate for and participate in the company's Accident Prevention and Safety and Health initiatives.
• Uphold the highest ethical standards and contribute to the achievement of corporate objectives.
• Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as required.
