Job Summary:The Senior Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality patient care to our residents, ensuring their health, safety, and security in accordance with established agency Standard Operating Procedures and Nurse Practice Act.
Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support through established nursing standards, individualized care plans, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Coordinate shift assignments, supervise licensed and unlicensed staff, and follow up to ensure completion of assignments.
- Assist with all aspects of resident care, treatments, self-administration of medications, and coordinate medical appointments.
- Report resident concerns and needs promptly to the appropriate team member.
- Monitor and account for residents to enable medical personnel to accomplish health-related tasks.
- Follow Resident's Rights policies at all times and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Work cooperatively and respectfully with residents, family members, facility staff, physicians, ARNP's, consultants, and ancillary service providers.
- Document services and care plan outcomes appropriately within the facility software/database.
- Participate in staff development and orientation of new personnel.
- Attend all in-service programs, training classes, and domiciliary meetings.
- Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Licensure in Florida as a Practical Nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464.
- Must possess a current CPR certification.
- Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English: reading, speaking, and writing.
- Successful completion of the employment screening process, including a national background investigation and drug test.
- One (1) year of experience in long-term care/120-bed skilled nursing facility, with a geriatric population.
- One (1) year of experience providing practical nursing services.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
