Compensation

Statewide locations = $15.30/hr Northern Virginia locations = $18.05/hr This position is hourly and does not include employee state benefits. The role is limited to a maximum of 29 hours scheduled per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Acquire comprehensive knowledge of Virginia ABC's full product range to enhance customer shopping experiences and connect them with suitable products. Provide outstanding customer service by welcoming and building rapport with customers while informing them about our offerings. Foster a positive shopping environment and respond promptly to customer inquiries and concerns. Verify customer identification and monitor patrons to ensure compliance with sales regulations. Adapt to new technologies. Uphold store visual standards in line with Virginia ABC merchandising guidelines. Ensure product availability by maintaining stock levels and displays. Operate electronic point-of-sale (POS) systems, including scanning equipment. Execute accurate cashier duties and manage personal cash discrepancies. Assist customers with loading purchases as needed. Unpack deliveries and organize stock in the storage area. Accurately prepare and confirm orders for licensees. Adhere to store safety protocols. Take responsibility for store cleanliness and assist in maintaining high standards throughout the establishment. Job Requirements:

Candidates must be at least 21 years old. Ability to lift and handle at least 65 lbs repeatedly. Experience interacting with the public. Flexibility to work varied schedules as needed. Proficiency in using technology relevant to the role and completing daily tasks. Experience in a team-oriented environment requiring effective communication skills. Eagerness to enhance retail sales skills and knowledge of products and services. Strong interpersonal skills essential for building customer and team relationships. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. Preferred Experience and Skills:

Previous experience as a store associate or in customer service is advantageous. Familiarity with electronic point-of-sale systems or scanning technology. Background in the alcoholic beverage sector (e.g., liquor store, bar, vendor representative, or similar establishments).
Schedule Requirements

Delivery days may require hours outside of regular business times. Weekly hours may fluctuate and cannot exceed 29 hours. Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather conditions. Inventory days may involve working late or during store closures.
