Job Summary

The Baylor Medical Center at Frisco is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to women in labor, delivery, and postpartum. This is a full-time position working varied shifts, including 6:45p-7:15a.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and implement all nursing care services for labor, delivery, and recovery patients.

• Ensure the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care.

• Care for patients of all ages, from adolescents to middle adults.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.

• At least 1 year of experience as a RN in a hospital setting on an L/D unit.

• GNs will be considered for an L&D internship on a case-by-case basis.

• RN, current in the State of Texas.

• BLS.

• NRP and ACLS required within 90 days of employment.

• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.

• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.

• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
