Truck Porter

Bollinger Motors is seeking a skilled Commercial Truck Porter to join our team at our Livonia Assembly Plant location. This in-person role involves ensuring the safe and efficient movement, parking, and cleanliness of our brand-new Electric Class 4 production vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and organized vehicle lot by systematically arranging and organizing vehicles for outbound shipments.
- Conduct basic inspections to ensure vehicles are free from damage and report any issues to the quality department.
- Coordinate with outbound logistics to stage units for pick up, ensuring all necessary paperwork, keys, and accessories are in order.
- Oversee transporters loading or unloading production units, ensuring proper handling, inspection, and loading.
- Perform miscellaneous clean-up of the shop and yard, including washing, vacuuming, and detailing vehicles as needed.
- Assist warehouse, quality, and manufacturing teams with other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum of two years of related experience in a heavy industrial environment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class A or Class B preferred
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical/drug screening
- Knowledge of truck transportation, plant logistics, and warehouse operations a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Attention to detail and a high sense of urgency
