Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic radiology procedures, including X-ray and fluoroscopy exams, to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including X-ray and fluoroscopy exams, to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
- Provide direct assistance to physicians during diagnostic or special procedures, including assisting with sterile technique.
- Assess, identify, and respond to the needs of patients for adjustment or intervention to optimize patient care, image quality, and patient experience.
- Modify technical factors to achieve desired imaging results and recognize complications and limitations associated with certain procedures.
- Follow safety standards and conduct all imaging procedures accordingly, using ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) to protect patients, staff, and the general public.
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations section.
- ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
- CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure (if new graduate, must obtain Texas Medical Board license within 90 days of hire/transfer date).
- CMRT-Temp - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - Temporary State Licensure.
- BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
- Demonstrated skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through ongoing skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
- Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
This position is located at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, a 267-bed, full-service, acute-care hospital that offers a range of medical services, including diagnostic imaging, surgery, and rehabilitation.
