About the Role

Kairos Power is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Handler to support our warehouse operations in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials, chemicals, and equipment throughout our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Distribution: Receive and process incoming shipments, verify packing slips, and prepare related paperwork.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Coordinate the shipment of materials, chemicals, and equipment to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, track stock movements, and perform regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Warehouse Operations: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move heavy packages and equipment throughout the warehouse.
  • Chemical Management: Assist in the receipt, storage, and management of hazardous chemicals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and surrounding areas.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in a materials management, shipping and receiving, or central supply/distribution environment, with experience handling and shipping chemicals preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified Dangerous Goods Shipper for Air Transport (IATA) and Ground Transport (DOT) preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in computer systems and enterprise software used to manage material receipt, transfer, and consumption.
Working Conditions

The Materials Handler will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with frequent exposure to chemicals, noise, and physical demands. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a variety of weather conditions.
