Job Title: Occupational Medicine Physician Assistant

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Medicine Physician Assistant to join our team at Mercy Medical Group in Sacramento, California.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to provide high-quality medical care to our patients in the Occupational Medicine Department. As an Occupational Medicine Physician Assistant, you will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat various medical conditions, develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, and conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, including work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories to identify potential health risks and develop prevention strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with coding and billing regulations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, to inform treatment decisions.
  • Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements
  • A valid and unrestricted California medical license.
  • Board eligible or board certified in Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program.
  • Experience in worker compensation services and specific note reporting.
  • DOT Certification.
