Position Summary
Full-Time/36 hours per week/Dayshift
The Registered Nurse in Acute Care is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to patients. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of patient care and the ability to adapt to various clinical situations. The RN will utilize the Synergy Model for Care to personalize treatment for each patient and serve as a resource for colleagues while advocating for patients and their families. Responsibilities include:
- Effectively communicating with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure safe and reliable care.
- Demonstrating strong assessment skills and understanding the influence of nursing care on patient outcomes.
- Accurately documenting the nursing process and implementing patient care plans independently.
- Incorporating patient and family goals into care planning and managing time efficiently.
- Engaging in continuous professional development and maintaining required clinical competencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least 12 months of recent nursing experience or completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- BLS certification is required; ACLS may be necessary in specific departments.
Physical Requirements:
The role involves medium to heavy physical demands, including lifting and carrying objects, standing, walking, and close visual work. Environmental factors may vary based on assigned tasks.
