Mammography Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography and DEXA imaging services to patients.
Responsibilities- Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure high-quality images.
- Recognize significant artifacts and equipment limitations, and report to appropriate staff to maintain quality standards.
- Implement radiation protection and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assess and educate patients according to specific department protocols to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Maintain a quality assurance program according to FDA and MQSA regulations to ensure compliance.
- Enter mammography patient information data into mammography quality software to track and analyze patient data.
- Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
- CPR - Basic Life Support certification.
- Licensed by the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety (IDNS).
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- One year of Mammography Technologist experience.
