Job Summary

American Implement is seeking a skilled Agricultural Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing various systems of agricultural equipment to ensure our customers' operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on agricultural equipment
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on a wide range of equipment, including tractors, combines, and other agricultural machinery
  • Prepare and submit reports and forms related to work assignments
  • Meet production schedules and requirements for completion of assignments
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations, and follow safety protocols when operating vehicles and equipment
  • Provide exceptional customer service and represent American Implement in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment
  • John Deere Tech graduate, John Deere Technician experience, or equivalent training and experience
  • Knowledge and experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with diagnostic equipment and tools
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes
  • Computer skills and good written and oral communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Physical Demands

The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting. The ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat and cold, is also required.
