Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Crossing Guard to join our team at the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office, FL. As a Crossing Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of school children by guiding them across roadways and intersections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and stop traffic to allow school children to cross roadways safely
  • Supervise school children along roadways to ensure order and safety
  • Perform duties with independent judgment within established general orders
Requirements
  • Must be a St. Lucie county resident
  • Should possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass a comprehensive background/character investigation, medical examination, drug screening, and polygraph examination
Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with intense time pressure. You will be required to work day, afternoon, night, and rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, at any St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office location, according to agency needs.
