Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant Health. As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the communication and language development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement treatment plans for students with speech and language challenges, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed academically and socially.
  • Collaborate with Educators and Parents: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success.
  • Provide Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, to help them overcome communication barriers.
  • Monitor and Document Progress: Regularly monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention plans as needed to ensure students receive the best possible support.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute valuable insights to the multidisciplinary team to ensure students receive a comprehensive education.
  • Offer Professional Development: Offer professional development and support to teachers and staff on speech and language topics to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • IL State License in Speech-Language Pathology: Hold an IL state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP): Possess an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Experience in School Setting: Have experience working in a school setting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.
