Preadmission Nurse

Job Summary:

The LPN II Preadmission Nurse works under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager, participating in performance improvement, in-service, safety, and cost management. This role is responsible for pre-operative interviews, pre/post-operative teaching, screening, and chart documentation/preparation. The ideal candidate will have a current or temporary LPN license in ND or compact LPN licensure and BLS certification within the orientation period.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct pre-operative interviews and pre/post-operative teaching
* Screen and document patient information
* Participate in performance improvement and in-service activities
* Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

* Current or temporary LPN license in ND or compact LPN licensure
* BLS certification within the orientation period
* LPN program as evidenced by licensure
* Official diploma or transcript from the school/university from where degree was received
* Hospital experience is preferred but not required
