Job Title: Swim Instructor

Are you passionate about teaching others how to swim? Do you enjoy working with people of all ages and abilities? We are seeking a qualified Swim Instructor to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City.

Job Summary:

The Swim Instructor will be responsible for teaching swim lessons to children and adults of all skill levels. This is a part-time position that requires a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach swim lessons to children and adults of all skill levels
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of all participants
  • Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all participants
  • Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff
  • Maintain accurate records of participant progress and attendance
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must be certified in CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid
  • Must have a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff
  • Must be able to maintain accurate records of participant progress and attendance
Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position that requires working in a pool environment. The Swim Instructor must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask.

Salary:

$11.50 per hour
