About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Carilion Clinic. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and clinical assistance to anesthesia care providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct patient care and clinical assistance to anesthesia care providers in the acquisition, preparation, application and use of monitors, equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia.
  • Performs general cleaning and decontamination of supplies and equipment.
  • Assists anesthesia providers by preparing patients, positioning, induction, anesthesia delivery including blocks and emergence.
  • Maintains accurate documentation as relates to activities, responsible for documentation of lot numbers for all sterilized items for tracking and recall purposes.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma / GED.
  • 1 year direct patient healthcare experience and completion of Carilion Anesthesia Tech I competencies required.
  • Must successfully complete AHA BLS-HCP within 2 months of hire and maintain throughout employment.
