Job Overview

The Artisan Pastry Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing a centralized bakery operation within a university setting, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of culinary excellence. This role involves maintaining exceptional quality in food preparation, flavor, creativity, variety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all staff.
• Deliver outstanding customer satisfaction through high-quality pastry offerings.
• Implement ongoing training programs for bakery staff to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience. Previous supervisory experience in a large-scale bakery or commercial kitchen is essential, along with experience as a Pastry Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or club setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification from the Retail Bakers Association or the American Culinary Federation is preferred. Additional certifications such as ServSafe and HACCP are desirable.
