Job Overview

P&H Investments Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Workplace Safety
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment
    • Keep the workspace organized and free from hazards to ensure a productive and safe working environment.
  • Interpret Blueprints and Specifications
    • Read and understand blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine construction requirements and materials needed.
  • Construct and Install Wood Structures
    • Build and install wood structures, including framing, joists, and rafters, using hand and power tools.
  • Install Fixtures and Materials
    • Install fixtures and materials such as windows, flooring, trim, and hardware.
  • Interact with Customers and Suppliers
    • Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and other construction professionals to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience
    • Prior experience as a Carpenter is highly desirable.
  • Mathematical Skills
    • Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements to ensure accurate construction and installation.
  • Blueprint Reading and Interpretation
    • Ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine construction requirements.
  • Tool Operation and Safety
    • Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations
    • Knowledge of building regulations and codes to ensure compliance and quality construction.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects to perform construction and installation tasks.
