Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide high-quality care to patients with respiratory disorders, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and assess response to ordered therapy per plan of care, monitoring and recording patient condition as appropriate.
  • Evaluate respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
  • Respond to codes and calls for emergent assistance, assessing patient condition and delivering appropriate treatment utilizing appropriate protocols.
  • Educate patients and families about their illness, providing information about community resources and supporting their overall well-being.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • State licensure.
  • NRP obtained within 1 year if assigned to NICU; tracked on unit.
  • PALS within 1 year if assigned to ED; tracked on unit.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
