Position Overview

The Electronics Assembler is responsible for the construction of electronic components and subassemblies, executing a variety of tasks as outlined below:

Key Responsibilities
  • Interprets and reviews assembly instructions from drawings or verbal directives to ensure accurate task execution.
  • Engages with supervisors and engineers for clarification of tasks to ensure comprehensive understanding.
  • Assembles prototypes following detailed instructions, enhancing drawings with additional information for future production clarity.
  • Utilizes hand-winding and semi-automatic machines to wind magnet wire of varying gauges around cores or bobbins.
  • Conducts in-process testing on wound components using specialized electrical testing equipment.
  • Facilitates the assembly of prototypes using fixtures, ensuring detailed instructions are documented for future reference.
  • Performs intermediate assembly tasks including potting, encapsulating, and cleaning components.
  • Connects lead wires to designated points and performs soldering in compliance with industry standards.
  • Installs completed assemblies into protective cases.
  • Adjusts materials to meet specified electrical or dimensional requirements.
  • Conducts visual and mechanical inspections to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborates with supervisors to finalize prototypes and ensure readiness for manufacturing.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Qualifications

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required. No prior experience necessary; we are willing to train the right candidate. A positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential for success in this dynamic industry.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions and correspondence.
  • Proficient in writing simple correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting information in small group settings.
  • Basic arithmetic skills for performing calculations.
  • Ability to apply common sense to follow detailed instructions.
  • Problem-solving skills for standardized situations.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing software is advantageous.
