About the RoleAs a Radiation Therapist PRN, you will play a vital role in our team, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide personalized care and support. Your expertise will be essential in delivering radiation therapy treatments, educating patients and families, and contributing to a culture of excellence and compassion.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient status and reaction to treatment, communicating concerns to appropriate personnel
- Follow proper procedure for treatment field verification and approval
- Practice proper procedure in fabricating custom treatment devices
- Educate patients relative to radiation therapy treatment procedures
- Set up and accurately deliver patient treatments according to prescription and treatment plan
- Operate linear accelerators, simulator, CT, and other related equipment in a safe and effective manner
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from a school accredited in the instruction of radiation therapy
- Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (RT)(T)
- One year of experience as a Radiation Therapist (preferred)
