About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Retail Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a key member of our store operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient processing and merchandising of products on our sales floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute Receiving and Merchandising Standards: Ensure that all merchandise is properly processed, tagged, and displayed on the sales floor in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Lead by Example: Model exceptional customer service and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Train and Mentor Associates: Provide guidance and support to our sales floor team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Communicate Effectively: Collaborate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure seamless communication and efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
  • Monitor Productivity: Track and analyze sales floor productivity and provide coaching and feedback to team members as needed.
  • Organize and Rotate Back Stock: Ensure that back stock is properly organized and rotated to facilitate easy replenishment and minimize waste.
  • Maintain Merchandising Philosophy and Signage Standards: Ensure that all merchandise is properly displayed and that signage is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Ensure Compliance with Labor Laws and Policies: Ensure that all labor laws and company policies are followed and that all associates are aware of their responsibilities in this regard.
Requirements
  • 1 Year Retail Experience: Previous experience in a retail environment is required.
  • 6 Months Leadership Experience: Experience in a leadership role is preferred.
  • Superior Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to Work a Flexible Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, is required.
