Position Overview

The Cath Lab Imaging Specialist plays a critical role in the cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Allied. This position is focused on operating advanced imaging equipment and supporting a high-volume department.

Certification Requirements
  • Mandatory Certifications: ACLS, ARRT, BLS
  • Preferred Certifications: ARRT VI, RCIS, ARRT advanced certification
Job Details
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with one day off each week, alternating based on departmental needs.
  • Floating Requirements: No floating to sister facilities.
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted within a 75-mile radius.
  • Pending State License: Accepted.
  • Request Time Off Restrictions: 7 days.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Special Responsibilities: Primary focus on operating the Siemens Zeego Fluoro machine in the hybrid OR vascular suites, with secondary duties including monitoring and documentation in EPIC. The department handles approximately 30-40 cases daily, with variable volume, encompassing cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional cases, including structural heart and endovascular repairs.
  • Teaching Hospital Environment: Technologists will not participate in scrubbing during procedures.
Job Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year required.
  • First-Time Applicants: Not accepted.
  • Weekend Requirements: No weekend shifts required.
  • On-Call Requirements: Yes, 1 night per weekday.
Schedule Information

No weekend call coverage is necessary, with only one night per week required (Monday to Friday).

  • Rooms Available: 10
  • Equipment: Siemens Zeego Fluoro machine, IVUS machine, Contrast injector, MacLab.
  • Eligible Backgrounds: Candidates can be X-ray techs or Cath Lab techs.
Additional Information

Certifications of completion are acceptable for up to one month until the official card is issued.
