Overview

Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

3. Safely operate all tools and equipment during job tasks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1. Proficient in using a tape measure.
2. Skilled in operating welding machinery.
3. Capable of utilizing a cutting torch.
4. Complete tasks with necessary paperwork within specified timeframes.
5. Able to work collaboratively as well as independently.
6. Recognize and report potential hazards.
7. Effectively multitask and prioritize job orders.
8. Experienced in using hand and power tools.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is set in a heavy industrial environment characterized by mechanical, electrical, and welding operations, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment.

While fulfilling the responsibilities of this role, the employee is frequently required to communicate verbally and audibly; and manipulate objects or controls with their hands. The employee will regularly need to stand, sit, walk, climb, stoop, bend, lay, or reach above shoulder height. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is required.

Specific conditions typical of manufacturing and fabrication environments will be encountered, necessitating proficiency with various hand and power tools. The employee should be prepared to stand for extended periods.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience interpreting blueprints.
2. Competent in part layout.
3. Basic mathematical skills.
4. Ability to prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Previous experience in fitting and fabricating.
2. Proficient in MIG and arc welding across all positions.
3. Experience operating a plasma cutter.
4. Familiarity with various metalworking equipment.
5. Rigging experience is advantageous.
