Key Responsibilities:

As an LPN, you will:

  • Support the mission and values of Fresenius Medical Care.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the hemodialysis healthcare team to deliver safe and effective patient care.
  • Document and report any significant changes in patient conditions or equipment issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Patient Care Duties:

  • Deliver direct care to assigned patients, performing all technical aspects of dialysis procedures as prescribed.
  • Monitor and document treatment parameters and patient conditions accurately.
  • Educate patients and their families about renal disease, dialysis therapy, and related topics.
  • Assist in emergency procedures as necessary.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Operate dialysis equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

Staff Collaboration:

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
  • Stay informed about current practices in dialysis through ongoing education.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves physical demands typical of a healthcare environment, including lifting and moving patients, and standing for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • Current state licensure as a Practical Nurse.
  • Preferred experience in medical-surgical nursing or hemodialysis.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
