As a Daytime Sub Custodian with Indiana Public Schools, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities. This is a part-time position that requires flexibility and a willingness to work on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities
  • Clean rooms in assigned areas according to a cleaning chart provided by the Maintenance Director.
  • Notify the Maintenance/Custodial Supervisor of any needs for major repairs or modifications.
  • Take out and replace garbage cans, clean off tables, and sweep floors.
  • Clean and sanitize areas in accordance with state and federal requirements.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic understanding of custodial needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Alternatives to the above requirements may be determined by the administration.
Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, sit, walk, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
