About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Architect to join our team at Aveshka. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for implementing and executing strategy for O&M Tier 3 break-fix support and Agile Software development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical resources and mentor and guide other technical resources.
  • Review and resolve technical conflicts/disagreements between Senior IT System Solutions Architects (Cloud, Infrastructure, Database).
  • Develop and implement solutions using Message Services, including development of Apache ActiveMQ services.
  • Design and implement Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions using Microsoft Active Directory and Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards.
  • Design solutions compliant with the Federal Information Management Security Act (FISMA) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Security Standards and Security Requirements.
  • Develop root cause analysis, problem identification and resolution, and roadmap for problems within system design and implementation of existing and new systems.
  • Analyze business requirements and design specifications for technical solutions and associated activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional.
  • Experience applying The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) in Agile solution designs to minimize technical debt and improve overall velocity.
  • Experience implementing the MVC Development Methodology (Model/View/Controller).
  • Experience designing solutions with a Microservices software architecture.
  • Experience with developing and managing data models with CA Erwin.
  • Experience creating and updating data dictionaries.
  • Experience developing interfaces compliant with National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) standards.
  • Experience designing and implementing data center/cloud-based hosting solutions, including solution architecture and cost estimation.
  • Proficient in network communication protocols, ports, routing, proxy settings, and firewall policies.
  • Excellent active listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business writing ability.
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical, executive-level government officials.
