This position focuses on assisting in alleviating discomfort, boosting strength, improving range of motion, ensuring joint stability, and helping patients regain their full functional abilities as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operate under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist while coordinating with referring physicians, insurance providers, and other healthcare professionals.
2. Execute detailed care plans aimed at achieving rehabilitation objectives.
3. Deliver exceptional patient care tailored to individual needs and concerns.
4. Foster a positive and encouraging rehabilitation atmosphere.
5. Work alongside the physical therapy team to maintain a cohesive and effective treatment strategy.
6. Record patient progress, treatment strategies, and other pertinent information.
7. Keep abreast of industry developments and integrate best practices into daily operations.
8. Maintain the integrity and reputation of DSC Physical Therapy, Inc.
Qualifications
1. Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
2. Valid State license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
4. Capability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
5. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
6. Understanding of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy methodologies.
7. Familiarity with modalities such as Cottrell 90/90, whirlpool, IFC, TENS, ultrasound, and Russian electrostimulation.
8. Expertise in manual therapy techniques, including soft tissue mobilization, Myofascial Release, and various joint mobilization methods.
9. Knowledge of gait training protocols.
