About the Role

McConnell Golf is seeking a Golf Cart Attendant to provide exceptional support to our members and guests at the Country Club of Asheville.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport golf cars from the car shelter to the car staging area outside the Golf Pro Shop.
  • Conduct regular safety checks on golf cars, including tire pressure and brake operation.
  • Load bags from the bag storage room onto golf cars.
  • Transport range balls to each end of the range and fill containers as needed.
  • Place baskets of golf balls at evenly spaced intervals on the range.
  • Operate the tractor and golf ball picker on the range to retrieve balls.
  • Wash all range balls daily.
  • Remove bags from golf cars and return them to the assigned rack in the bag storage room.
  • Return golf cars to the car shelter, remove towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, and other items, and save reusable items.
  • Check cars for damage, wash them with a pressure cleaner, park them in the shelter, and connect the charger cable.
  • Advise the Golf Pro Shop of clubs found on the course and destined for the lost and found.
  • Clean all clubs for members and guests, and maintain the club's rental equipment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and order of the Bag Storage Room.
  • Attend staff meetings as required.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Golf Professional staff.
Requirements
  • Knowledgeable about the game of golf and its rules.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform required roles in emergency situations.
  • Valid driver's license.
Work Environment

The Golf Cart Attendant will work in a fast-paced environment with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.

The successful candidate must be able to meet and perform the physical requirements of the role and work effectively in an environment typical of this position.
