McLaren USA is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team in an inpatient per diem capacity. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Prepare and dispense medications according to physician orders, detecting potential therapeutic incompatibilities and ensuring accurate labeling and packaging.
- Pharmaceutical Services: Provide pharmacological information to healthcare professionals, counsel patients on drug therapies, and develop hospital staff's pharmacological knowledge through training and education.
- Regulatory Compliance: Comply with state and federal drug laws, monitoring nursing unit inspections, maintaining records for controlled substances, and supervising support personnel.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with medical staff, other health professionals, and patients to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a BS Pharm or PharmD degree.
- Licensure: Completion of pharmacy internship and holds state licensure.
- Experience: One year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
