Job Overview

Olsson is a team-based, purpose-driven engineering and design firm dedicated to improving communities. As a Design Technician on our Roadway team, you will apply your knowledge of established methods and practices to prepare engineering and design plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with standard computer-aided design operations, including advanced plan production, plan sheet creation, and entry-level design principles.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to find the best approach to solve engineering and design needs.
  • Perform engineering support tasks, such as gathering data, updating and maintaining computer files, and documenting design changes.
  • Work in various terrain and weather conditions and on project sites in various stages of construction.
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills and ability to contribute to a team.
  • Associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Microstation (or related CAD software) preferred.
  • Solid interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
