Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse to join our team at Ascension. As a Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the ICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, including medication administration, wound care, and respiratory therapy.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care plans and progress.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • 1 year of experience in a pediatric ICU setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
