We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. as a Clinical Nurse. Key Responsibilities:

  • Exemplary Practice and Outcomes:
    • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, utilizing evidence-based practices and current clinical standards.
    • Provide patient-centered care, respecting cultural diversity and tailoring care to specific population characteristics.
    • Engage with patients and their significant others, ensuring their goals are central to the care plan.
    • Adhere to current clinical practice standards and guidelines.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration:
    • Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care, fostering interdisciplinary communication and a respectful work environment.
    • Demonstrate teamwork by being fiscally responsible and supporting the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
    • Participate in performance improvement activities, research, and shared governance to enhance patient care.
  • Professional Development and Initiative:
    • Complete all required competency assessments, mandatory education, and population-specific training.
    • Serve as a preceptor or mentor for nursing staff and students, promoting professional practice and a healthy work environment.
  • Evidence-Based Practice and Research:
    • Promote evidence-based practices and nursing research, including participation in value analysis and decision-making for patient care products.
    • Adhere to healthcare system policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
    • Engage in data collection and research to address clinical practice questions.
  • Resources and Support:
    • Plan patient care across the continuum and participate in protocol and procedure development.
    • Support the efficient use of human and material resources to achieve best practice outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
  • RN (Single State) or RN - Multi-State Compact.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Instructor.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Instructor or ACLS - Provisional.
  • National certification in specialty area upon hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years of current experience in the specified area of practice.
  • Computer/data entry experience required; Epic and 3M experience preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies calmly and respectfully.
