Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Unit team at Jackson Purchase Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate with patients' families to help improve the patient's abilities and help them deal with family member's mental illness.
  • Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Handle With Care (HWC) certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Registered Nurse licensed to work in the State of Kentucky.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a critical care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
