Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished finance professional to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business at the University of Idaho's College of Business and Economics. This tenure-track position offers an exciting opportunity to teach, conduct research, and contribute to the growth and success of our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a five-course load (15 credits) in finance at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, demonstrating expertise in finance and delivering high-quality and innovative courses in traditional classroom and online environments.
  • Engage in scholarship and creative activities, contributing to academic discourse through impactful journal articles and intellectual contributions, and staying abreast of industry trends.
  • Play a vital role in advising students, demonstrating a commitment to their academic and professional development.
  • Contribute to outreach and extension activities to foster connections with professional organizations and the business community.
  • Participate in service and leadership contributions to the department, college, and university.
Requirements
  • Terminal degree (PhD or DBA) in finance or a related field.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate or graduate courses in finance.
  • An active scholarship agenda for peer-reviewed journal publications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in corporate finance and other areas of finance.
  • Experience teaching online courses.
  • Published scholarly articles in quality journals and a commitment to ongoing intellectual contributions.
  • Familiarity with financial market resources such as Bloomberg and Morningstar.
